Unfortunately no, I only own the DAC2HD but I use it with a DENON 7200WA which is not a low end AV-receiver and it’s notebly better than the integrated circuit. Sorry for my english… The DENON 7200WA uses the AK4490 32-bit whatever that means. Hi, i recently bought a Raspberry Pi 2 and a Hifiberry digi+. I wanted to connect the raspberry pis hdmi to my tv and give the sound via spdif/toslink-passthrough to my av-receiver. High-end AV receiver vs external DAC + stereo amp My goal right now is to create a 2.1 stereo setup that will allow me to play music from my Macbook. After much research, I realized that I had two options: (1) external dac -> stereo amp/receiver -> bookshelf speakers or (2) optical line out from my Macbook -> AV receiver -> bookshelf speakers.
